These are my final images from my timed assessment. Overall I was very pleased with the outcome and I think my designer did a good job in explaining the makeup to me. However, there wasn't that much explanation of how to tie the scarf which I had to practise myself. This did worry me and the day of assessment but I feel I did well to complete the look and I kept good time management finishing within 50mins.

Timed Assessment Preparation.
For our timed assessment we have been partnered with people in our group who we dont usually work with. This is to test our skills in both understanding and communicating designs to others. We have 2 hours to create someone else's design including hair and makeup. We will be assessed on professionalism throughout and our ability to recreate a look we may not have seen before the day of action.
Here are the notes my partner sent me for the look I have to recreate.

Evaluation.
Working on a blog has
been helpful for recording research and showing inspiration from anywhere,
especially videos. It has helped to annotate all work in a clear way because it
does not seem as personal as a sketchbook and anyone, anywhere can view it.
However, it limits the amount of drawings I have created because it did not
feel natural to draw whilst posting research and development online. I was
pleased with the outcome of my final images. I feel they reflect my research on
all aspects of tribal life with a fashion style approach. At first I found it
difficult to clearly understand the different qualities of a catwalk shoot
compared to editorial, this became clearer through lectures and I feel I have designed
my outcomes relevant to both of the separate needs. I experimented with new
techniques such as creating texture with fuller’s earth, creating scarification
and putting texture in the hair, I feel I presented my new skills learnt
through my development and final designs. I also had issues with models I had
chosen to use for my final images, they either let me down close to the date or
did not work well when I used them for test shoots, this made it difficult for
me to design my looks specific to a model type however I do not feel my designs
struggled because of this. If I were to do this project again I would run a
sketchbook along side my blog, allowing me to construct more creative drawings,
I would also be definite I had chosen reliable models so I did not have to
worry about them close to the day of shooting.
