Working Freehand.

First Practical Lesson;

Using aqua colours, we created tribal inspired tattoos using thin brushes and free hand drawings. 

I did this design from an image we had been given and elaborated on it myself. 

I think from a distance this is effective and would work well for catwalk shows. However, for editorial the lines are not distinctive enough and need to be a lot sharper... we were given the advice to start the outline with a pencil first so the drawing is more precise. 

NOTE TO SELF: do not use symmetrical designs with free hand drawings. 

I found it difficult to draw lines as fluent on the left side as I did on the right however if the image was not symmetrical I think this technique would be fine and work well.
